The International Institute of Health Sciences is one of the many nursing schools in Uganda. It it a tertiary institution offering training programmes in nursing. The medical institute is located in Jinja town on Plot 27/29 Namasagali drive, Eastern Uganda.
The school is a brain-child of Professor Wilton Kezala who had it incorporated as a company limited by shares together with his partners in 1999.
However, it wasn’t until 2004 that the school was awarded with an operational licence and allowed to offer training programmes in nursing.
The school is reported to have began with 15 students and held it’s first graduation in 2012 for a total of 570 graduands.
